Samsung Slate 7 commandée, mode impatient, ON!

Bon, j’ai finalement craqué et commandé une tablette Samsung Slate 7!

Intel Corei3, 4Go Ram, 64Go SSD (bientôt en 128 voir 256!), Wifi, 3G, BT, Stylet, clavier et Dock… le tout bien sûr pour tester comme il se doit Windows 8 avant les examens de certification!

Metro UI devrait prendre toute son ampleur sur ce nouveau jouet, et même si je suis réfractaire aux tablettes (ipad, android, win7 et autres) il va bien falloir s’y mettre pour la mise à jour.

Et puis avec un accès permanent aux données sur le Cloud, tout devient maintenant plus facile…et ça pèse quand même moins d’un kilo avec à peu de choses près la même config que mon portable actuel Un bon VPN+RSAT et j’ai HyperV sur la tablette, donc pas de soucis.

…et puis de toute manière si je ne m’y attache pas je pense que madame et les enfants, eux c’est sur, y trouveront leur bonheur!

En attendant de la recevoir (pour ce weekend) voila deux trois photos de la bestiole… et oui, c’est le modèle utilisé pour la présentation officielle de la DP au \\Build, donc entièrement compatible Windows 8! si vous voulez vous laisser tempter, la référence est XE700T1A-H01FR!!!

Changement de limite SkyDrive… faites vite!

Bonsoir à tous, juste un petit post pour vous dire que si, comme moi, vous utilisez SkyDrive, un changement vient d’avoir lieu et il faut, si vous souhaitez garder vos 25Go, que vous alliez les demander…

Sinon, l’espace va automatiquement être réduit à 7Go!!!!

Donc passez une minute par votre skydrive, et optez pour l’upgrade gratuite vers les 25Go, pendant qu’elle est gratuite…après il faudra payer pour la même chose!

Microsoft a annoncé aujourd’hui les versions qui seront disponibles, et ça se simplifie grandement!

Windows 8 est retenu comme nom commercial, et les éditions grand public sont au nombre de 2: Windows 8 et Windows 8 Pro (quelqu’un a dit XP dans la salle???)….

Ensuite une version OEM pour processeur ARM (si si, ça y est!): Windows 8 RT, non disponible en achat séparé, seulement pré installée sur le matériel.

…et l'Edition de choix des client Software Assurance: Windows 8 SA qui inclura “quelques” (à définir plus exactement) extras pour les clients Microsoft Corporate.

MCSA et MCSE… Le retour!

J’en parlais il y a peu de temps, la demande en compétences Cloud est une réalité de plus en plus évidente, que ce soit chez les grands comptes ou les TPE/PME. De plus en plus d’offres de services sont orientées Cloud et les prestations en assistance technique ou en réalisation sur ces projets demandent des compétences d’un nouveau type.

La sortie de Office 365, puis d’Intune, puis tout récemment de Service Center 2012 (SCCM, SCVMM, SCOM etc.) et l’annonce de la sortie imminente de Windows 8 server et Poste, font que les compétences techniques vont shifter vers le Cloud. Certes, pour certains ce sera petit à petit, mais inévitablement cela va arriver!

Pour permettre à ses partenaires et utilisateurs de valider ces compétences orientées Cloud, Microsoft vient de remodeler son cursus de certification et de sortir une nouvelle série d’examens dont certaines sous un vieux nom : MCSE et MCSA… mais à ne pas confondre, ces deux titres sont bien les dernières moutures du cursus Microsoft, deux titres sur les Quatre nouveaux:

Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA)

Le MCSA, le niveau “Associate” est le niveau d’entrée, de base, le titre idéal pour décrocher votre premier job ayant la tête dans le nuage Microsoft...Il s’adresse aux personnes ayant actuellement un MCTS ou le visant à court terme. Il est nécessaire de valider ce niveau avant d’envisager de passer au suivant.

Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) &
Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD)

Le MCSE et MCSD, le niveau “Expert/Développeur” sont le fer de lance de la nouvelle branche de certification, elle est destinée aux personnes ayant déjà une grosse expérience terrain sur les technologies Microsoft et ayant une connaissance approfondie de l’ensemble des outils Microsoft disponibles, qu’ils soient utilisés en local ou dans le Cloud. Il s’dresse aux personnes ayant à l’heure actuelle un statut MCITP ou qui pensaient le passer rapidement.

Microsoft Certified Solutions Master (MCSM)

Là, on attaque l’Elite Microsoftienne, seuls les plus aguerris pourront survivre, bienvenue dans le Kolantha de la certification...Avec ce titre en poche, une évolution est quasiment inévitable et tout comme le titre Microsoft Certified Master, il s’adresse aux seuls “Gurus” technologiques ayant le temps et les ressources pour s’investir dans un cursus INTENSIF!

Si vous pensiez être au top en certification, pensez y de nouveau et replongez vous dans les catalogues de formation, les offres arrivent d’ici un mois! SCCM, SCOM, SCVMM et HyperV sont au rendez vous dans leurs dernières moutures et des cours orientés Cloud existent déjà.

Météo informatique….Nuages en vue!

Sur ces 3 dernières années, la météo informatique a vu l’apparition de plus en plus de nuages, et cela ne va pas s’arranger!

Même si en France, le Cloud (Nuage) a eu du mal a démarrer, il faut se rendre à l’évidence, cela devient une habitude d’en parler, de l’évoquer voir de répondre à des questions ou de s’en poser. Microsoft a étoffé son offre Cloud (qu’elle soit Privée avec SCVMM et HyperV, ou publique avec Intune, Office 365 ou encore BPOS) et il est temps pour nous partenaires de savoir en tirer partie.

Que l’on soit pour ou contre, il est impératif de connaitre ces offres, de manière à pouvoir argumenter concrètement et en connaissance de cause, que ce soit pour les pousser ou les éviter chez nous et chez nos clients. Ces nouvelles offres poussent tout le secteur de l’industrie informatique à revoir les Business Models, comme on dit, et cela que l’on s’adresse à des particulier, des PME/PMI ou des grands comptes. Il devient de nos jour indispensable de maitriser les avantages et inconvénients de chaque solution afin de répondre aux questions de nos clients et éventuellement de pouvoir chiffrer et vendre ces solutions.

Personnellement, j’ai commencé à m’y mettre, par curiosité, pour pouvoir répondre aux questions de mes amis, de mes clients sur le CLOUD. J’ai lu un peu de tout et tenté de voir comment cela pourrait venir s’inscrire dans mes projets coté formations et coté prestations.

De Intune à SCVMM en passant par Office365 et HyperV, j’essaye de tester et de me former sur ces nouvelles approches Microsoft. Cloud Privé, Cloud Public, machines complètes ou applications virtualisées, aide à la gestion de parc ou simplement location de logiciel…les concepts sont multiples autour et dans le Nuage. Si pour la plupart de mes clients cela ne représente pas la priorité numéro une, ils posent tous des questions et veulent savoir ce que ce fameux Cloud peut leur apporter, et je préfère pouvoir leur donner des réponses à ce qu’ils aillent les chercher ailleurs!

J’ai donc pris mon mal en patience, et je m’y mets doucement, mais surement. Je sais que pour le moment les attentes sont plus liées à la curiosité qu’à la production, mais je pense que cela risque d’évoluer en même temps que les offres qui commencent à se décliner, chez Microsoft comme ailleurs, et qui répondent maintenant aux autres secteurs que les Grands Comptes. Les PME/PMI et même les TPE sont déjà couvertes…SBS Essentials avec un office 365 peut pour certains cas être une solution idéale là ou SBS Standard pourrait être sur-dimensionné et Intune peut venir me faciliter la vie dans certains cas avec des utilisateurs nomades en PME, et je veux être capable de le mettre en place et l’administrer le jour ou un client voudra l’essayer. Ma motivation est autant tirée par la curiosité et la technique que par le business et les clients, mais le fait est là, le Cloud arrive et il faut s’y préparer.

Red Kaffe est maintenant “Cloud Partner” pour les solutions Intune et Office 365, ainsi que sur HyperV…et ce n’est qu’une première étape afin de garder une vue complète sur les offres et demandes variées concernant le Cloud.

Je ne sais pas si notre activité deviendra Cloud-orientée, mais il faut définitivement que nos connaissances techniques le soient afin de répondre aux exigences du marché, donc plus vraiement le choix, il faut de temps à autres mettre la tète dans les nuages!

Mars est peut etre le mois le plus court de l’année (meme si 2012 compte 29 jours) mais en tout cas il aura été productif:

New features and enhancements make large-scale desktop and server deployments smoother than ever!

Support for Configuration Manager 2012 RC2: This update provides support for Configuration Manager 2012 RC2 releases. MDT 2012 fully leverages the capabilities provided by Configuration Manager 2012 for OS deployment. The latest version of MDT offers new User-Driven Installation components and extensibility for Configuration Manager 2007 and 2012. Users now also have the ability to migrate MDT 2012 task sequences from Configuration Manager 2007 to Configuration Manager 2012.

Customize deployment questions: For System Center Configuration Manager customers, MDT 2012 provides an improved, extensible wizard and designer for customizing deployment questions.

Ease Lite Touch installation: The Microsoft Diagnostics and Recovery Toolkit (DaRT) is now integrated with Lite Touch Installation, providing remote control and diagnostics. New monitoring capabilities are available to check on the status of currently running deployments. LTI now has an improved deployment wizard user experience. Enhanced partitioning support ensures that deployments work regardless of the current structure.

Secure Deployments: MDT 2012 offers integration with the Microsoft Security Compliance Manager (SCM) tool to ensure a secure Windows deployment from the start.

Reliability and flexibility: Existing MDT users will find more reliability and flexibility with the many small enhancements and bug fixes and a smooth and simple upgrade process.

Support for Windows 8: The RC1 release of MDT 2012 provides support for deploying Windows 8 Consumer Preview in a lab environment.
